Idlewild Golf Club is an eighteen-hole championship course located less than fifteen-minutes from Sturgeon Bay. This golf course offers beautiful views on just about every hole and its lush fairways, manicured greens, native vegetation, and surrounding trees just add to its beauty.
There are numerous hazards including lakes, creeks, and strategically placed sand bunkers that can be hard to negotiate close to greens. The stand-out hole is a 499 yard par 5 to an island green that is sure to claim some balls, so remember to have a few extra in the bag.
This is a great golf course for both low and high handicappers as it has several tee options.

Cherry Hills Golf Course and Lodge offers 18-holes with gentle rolling fairways, true greens, and challenging bunkers. This course provides skilled golfers a suitable challenge while remaining equitable for recreational players.
Like most golf courses in Door County in the the fall colors turn the tree-lined fairways into vivid oranges, reds, and purples making for a colorful round of golf.
This golf course received numerous updates in 2015, including upgrades to the lodge. Golfers staying at the lodge will receive a special golf discount of $25 off eighteen-holes with a cart and includes a bucket of range balls, which is a great deal.

Alpine Resort boasts an eighteen-hole championship golf course with some amazing views of Lake Michigan’s Green Bay. This family owned resort has been in business since 1921 and is known as one of the original Door County vacation destinations.
The ninth-hole is something special and is actually known as the “most scenic hole in the state of Wisconsin”. If that isn’t enough to make you want to play this course I don’t know what will.

The Orchards At Egg Harbor is an extremely scenic eighteen-hole championship golf course that is built on two-hundred acres of beautiful Door County property. It was designed by William Newcomb, a Michigander who worked with Pete Dye in the early part of his career. This course is routed through wooded areas woods with mature hardwoods, fruit orchards, and gorgeous meadows.
The Orchards At Egg Harbor features bentgrass from tee to green, which makes it only one of two tracks in the county to feature this. For the most part the holes are open and forgiving off the tee but it can be demanding in its greens complexes and on the putting surfaces themselves.
There are four different tee options to suit all levels of players. The clubhouse consists of a pro shop, bar and grill.

Peninsula Golf Course is truly a spectacular course that offers scenic views of Egg Harbor and Ephraim. What originally started as a six-hole course back in 1917, became a nine-hole course in 1923, before growing into an eighteen-hole course in 1931.
Peninsula Golf Course is located in Peninsula State Park which has mature cedar, oak, beach, and maple trees. Their watered fairways, rolling terrain, and wonderful scenery make this a must play golf course in Door County.
This golf course is also quite popular so be sure to make a tee time, especially on weekends.

Peninsula State Park also has a six-hole par 3 short course that is designed for all levels of golfers. It’s perfect for a fun family round of golf or for short game practice. The holes range from around 60-100 yards. The whole course is kept in great shape from the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens.

Deer Run Golf Course
Deer Run Golf Course offers nine-holes and is uniquely located on Washington Island. That’s right, on an island! Getting there will involve a ferry ride from the tip Door County’s peninsula over to Washington Island. The ferry ride takes around thirty-minutes and is a very fun experience.
This golf course was first opened in 1969 and was designed by Leland Thompson. The greens can be a challenge as they have a lot of undulation but this is still a fun and easy course for the whole family to play. If golfers play through twice from the white tees it measures 5,400 yards for par 72.

Maxwelton Braes Golf Course
Maxwelton Braes is an eighteen-hole championship golf course that consists of wide fairways, challenging green contours, beautiful wooded areas, and plenty of greenery. It features a good variety of holes with four-par 3, twelve-par 4, and two-par 5.
Whether you are a high or low handicapper most golfers will find this course extremely fun. Something very cool about this golf course is golfers can play all day for $45.50 walking or $77 with a cart!
There is a small pro shop offering basic golf equipment and the clubhouse has snacks, liquor, beer, hotdogs, and brats. What more could you want?
